Apple Starts Selling A Contract Free iPhone in The United States

Apple began selling a contract free version of the iPhone 3G and 3G iPhone into the United States. Now you can purchase an iPhone 3G for $ 499 or iPhone 3G for $ 599 and $ 699.

There is only a minor problem, the contract is still under iPhone, AT & T closed cellular network, which means that you should be a SIM-AT&T or the use jailbreak your iPhone for use on another network.

This is similar to what Apple has in the United Kingdom bound to go with pay-as-you version of the iPhone to a particular network, although it more of a network of choice in the UK.

You would think if you buy a phone at full price without a subsidy and a mobile phone contract, you should be able to ti with a cellular provider that you want to use.
