ASUS U35 and U45 Slim Notebooks New Thin and Light Mobile Computers with new Intel Core i5 CULV Processors NVIDIA Optimus

Asus has introduced two new thin and light notebook computers. The ASUS U35 with 13.3″ and U45 for  14.1 inch display notebooks are powered by the new Intel Core i5 or i3 CULV processors and boast of decent specification. Design-wise both look great and boast of ultra-thin form factor.

The ASUS U35 and U45 come in at under an inch thick, measuring just 14.8mm at their thinnest points. Both of them feature ASUS’ exclusive Super Hybrid Engine SHE, which is capable of intelligently increasing the frequency in order to handle heavy processing loads.

Interesting thing about these machines is that they also feature NVIDIA Optimus technology which automatically switches between dedicated GeForce G310M GPU and integrated Intel GPU to save power.

Combination of ASUS SHE and NVIDIA Optimus provides up to 11.5 hours of battery life by Intel ULV processor energy saving.

Other features include 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB hard drive, wireless, Altec Lansing speakers, HD Audio with SRS Premium Sound technology, and Windows 7.

The ASUS U35 and U45 are priced at $899 and $999 respectively and will be available in August.
