Coby USA has releases the new CAM5001 720p pocket HD video camcorder that pretty similar to its brother CAM5000 camera. The new pocket camcorder features with a 5 Megapixel CMOS image sensor, 4x digital zoom, 2-inch LCD screen, 128MB internal memory with SD/SDHC card slot for up to 16GB of memory card.

The Snapp CAM5001 cam is able to record 1280×720p HD video at speed 30fps using XviD codec in AVI format compress, instead of MPEG4 format used by CAM5000. That has integrated USB port and HDMI output. It is priced at $79.99.

The CAM5001 and CAM5000, there are also other members in the Snapp pocket camcorder. The $48.99 CAM4505 has 3 MP sensor with a 2-inch screen display; the $44.95 CAM4000 with 3 Megapixel sensor and a 2.4-inch swivel LCD screen; the AA battery-powered CAM3001 tag price $29.99 and AAA battery-powered CAM3000 price $28.45 with 1.44-inch display and 1.3 Megapixel sensor. These models all record VGA 640×480 video in Motion JPEG format. That all of them are available at Amazon.
