Well, not exactly the new Dells are going to shock anyone dumb, but they look practical and satisfactory assurances of difficulties. It has always seemed strange that the so called ultra-portable, is designed to be taken everywhere, almost universally constructed to be free. Indeed, most of them cost a lot less expensive than the Dell E4310 also.
Here are the relevant stats specs on the E4310:
- Core i5-540m or 520 million to 2.53 GHz or 2.4 GHz, respectively
- Up to 4GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM
- Integrated graphics (Well, Dell, HP has a discrete graphics notebook quarter, price)
- 13.3″ 1366×768 LED-backlit liquid crystal
- Up to 500GB HDD or 256GB SSD
- Players DVD burner or Blu-ray
- 1xUSB 2.0, 1 x eSATA / USB 2.0 (two USB ports? AW)
- Multi Card Reader
- to VGA out
- Option 3G modem
Overall … $ 1,129 $ I think you should expect more. I feel a lot of value in building solid, but the more you deserve great discrete graphics, two more USB ports, and perhaps an HDMI output.
