Audio Research introduced the PH8 vacuum tube phono preamplifier, which has a number of improvements to the circuit and parts from their REF Phono second Instead of using all four of the 6922 predecessor PH8 uses two tubes with 6:30 special low-noise FET, the Ordinance contains a vacuum tube and 6:30 6550, as presented in the REF Phono 2 and REF5. The capacitors are all the same types as those in the REF Phono 2, including caps used even mating connector and Teflon, both when the RIAA and the bypass capacitors. There is also a new R-Core transformer. PCB material is the same as in our reference list of products.
